Data
Analytics, Statistical and Reporting module

1. THE BASICS : SPSS FOR
WINDOWS
This comprehensive 2-days course logically
guides’ attendees through the fundamentals of using SPSS for
Windows. The course is structured so as to provide effective
training in all the 4 stages of a typical data analysis process –
data definition and input, data modification, data analysis and
data presentation. Attendees will learn to efficiently utilize
the power and flexibility of SPSS for Windows so as to get the
most from their data. Through a series of “hands-on” sessions,
they will gain that vital experience that will transform them from
SPSS novices to productive data analysts.
(Modules Used: SPSS Base)
2. INTRODUCTION
TO SPSS & STATISTICS
This comprehensive
3-days course logically guides attendees through the fundamentals
of using SPSS for Windows as well as to provide basic statistics
knowledge necessary for their research needs. The course is
structured so as to provide effective training in all the 4 stages
of a typical data analysis process – data definition and input,
data modification, data analysis and data presentation. Attendees
will learn to efficiently utilize the power and flexibility of
SPSS for Windows so as to get the most from their data. Through a
series of “hands-on” sessions and exposure on the basic statistics
concepts, they will gain that vital experience and knowledge that
will transform them from SPSS novices to productive data analysts
with basic understanding in statistics theory.
(Modules Used: SPSS Base)
3. SPSS for spreadsheet
USers
This 1-days course is designed for business
people currently using excel to perform business data manipulation
and analysis. It teaches you how to use SPSS to easily read and
manipulate database data, create business analysis reports from data
extracts, perform basic statistical analyses (crosstabulation,
chi-square), and automatically repeat your work (syntax). Because of
this limited focus, this starter course does not constitute a
complete introduction to SPSS, as does the more comprehensive The
Basics: SPSS for Windows training course.
(Modules Used: SPSS Base)

1. DATA MANAGEMENT & MANIPULATION
WITH SPSS (intermediate)
This comprehensive
2-days course guides attendees through the intermediate level usage
of SPSS for Windows. This course is designed for those who have
basic familiarity with SPSS for Windows and who wish to learn of
advanced SPSS and utilizes its powerful data manipulation
capabilities. The course will proceed logically through several
advanced topics assuming the participants possess basic knowledge of
SPSS for Windows.
Modules Used: SPSS
Base)
2. Introduction to statisticS using SPSS
In this 2-days course,
the participants will be provided with the fundamentals of
statistics necessary to proceed into their specific research needs.
Also, it prepares the participants towards the intermediate level of
statistical training. This course is designed for those who have
completed the SPSS Basics course. Attendees should have a basic
familiarity with SPSS environment and should be acquainted with
statistical terms and SPSS features.
(Module Used: SPSS
Base)

data with spss tables
This 2-days course will
teach users how the SPSS Tables module can be of use in creating
publication quality tables. You will use Tables to generate stub and
banner tables as well as complex tables with multiple variables and
a variety of statistics, including statistical significance tests.
(Modules Used: SPSS
Base and Tables)

1. SURVEY ANALYSIS USING
SPSS
This 2-days course covers both basic and advanced
analysis of data collected from all types of surveys. It consists of
features of survey analysis, how the characteristics of surveys
influence analysis, the level of measurement of data and present a
flowchart to guide the process of survey analysis. Quantitative
analysis is the emphasis in this course range from crosstabulations to
various types of regression. There is also an overview on basic
qualitative analysis of responses to open-ended survey questions.
Attendees will learn to effectively utilize the analytical
capabilities in SPSS for Windows as to get the most from their data.
Attendees MUST have completed at least the Basic SPSS course and
should have some background in basic statistics.
(Modules Used: SPSS Statistics Base, Regression add-on, Custom Tables
add-on, Decision Trees add-on, Text Analysis for Surveys)
2. Statistical Analysis Using
SPSS
In this 3-days course, we
will focus on SPSS statistical components. You’ll look at several
statistical methods eg. t-tests, ANOVA, Regression. We will discuss
situations in which you would use for each method. Plus, we’ll
discuss the assumptions made by each method, how to set up the
analysis in SPSS and how to interpret the results.
